The World's Smallest Quartet got its start at the Willimantic Brewing Company in July, 2002. The acoustic duo, featuring husband and wife Braden and Nancy Pastore on bass and guitar (respectively) was formed on a whim after years in larger bands. Their musical style and close harmonies seems to have struck a chord with the public -- they've played over 700 dates since their start and they work exclusively as a duo now. With over 270 songs in their repertoire, they play everything from Beatles to current music, usually depending upon the mood of the audience.
Although they live on a farm (yes, they own cows) in rural Canterbury, CT, they soon discovered that the shoreline was a much better place to play music. They started playing at Oliver's on New Year's Day in 2005. They love coming to Ollie's because in addition to the free peanuts, the staff is great. Of course they're not too thrilled with the stairs...
